When you aren't so smart you just gotta work harder!
Remember that kid at school that was just as ADHD as you were, spent lessons paining stuff with tipex and melting his pencil case with the Bunsen burner but some how when it came to exam time he always got A's?
Everyone knows one of those jammy b***##ds!
They exist in the gym / Bootcamp class too. They just look at a bar bell and get biceps, think about maybe doing some abs and they see their six pack.
It's not me. Prob not you either. I'm not saying I fully shit out when I fell from the genetic tree, I'm pretty tall ish, I'm long limbed (a curse when I was young) and I got some dimples that used to get me out of trouble with the right teachers wink emoticon...
But I sure don't hold onto muscle too easily and if I spend too much time in the biscuit jar I gain a belly and lose a bicep in no time!
So if you're like me 'working smarter' isn't enough. You gotta work harder too. You gotta f*** s*** up.
Some ways to ensure you're going hard in the gym/kitchen;
•Do timed sets.
•Do triples to 30 reps with your 10RM
•Finish your session with a complex.
•Run from point A to point B and time it then get back in less time!
•Get your gym log out from last year and fit two sessions into one (doable for most)
•Eat 200g of protein every day no excuse.
•Eat a potion of veg 4 times a day even if it means you have to go and grab a bag of green beans and snack on them.
•Eat starchy carbs only after training (50-70g)
•Drink 1 litre of water for every 25kg of body weight per day.
Sorry if that sound s bit intense for a Friday morning but sometimes you just gotta work harder!!!
